2018 HighlightsOver the summer in 2016 I attended my first college soccer camp. I have always thought of playing soccer in college but the camp really opened my eyes and made it my goal to play soccer in college. Soccer has been passed down through my family starting with my grandfather. My mom carried on the tradition. She went to Hudson Valley Community College and the University of Buffalo where she played on the soccer team for both schools. Now it is my goal to carry out this tradition.
I started playing soccer when I was 6 years old. I was a quick study and was able to use both of my feet to shoot, dribble and pass the ball by age 8. I’ve been told by many coaches that I have an amazing read on the game, can always find a pass, and I am a great team player. Along with this, I have also been told I am a great team leader and that I am a good example on and off the soccer field.
My school has high educational standards, as it is a college preparatory school. In the classroom, I have maintained a 3.6 GPA while also playing varsity soccer since 7th grade and JV lacrosse since 8th grade. I also am very involved in my school community as I was elected to student council and I am in many school clubs. When I attend college my goal is to study engineering. This stems from my love of my current science and math classes.
