Elizabeth (“Lily”) Delaney '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a goalkeeper by choice, not default.  The first time I stood in the keeper box, I was that kid who kept calm and stood my ground against shots on goal & players in the box.  These qualities remain with me as I play the game today - firm resolve and maximum effort. 

I am always seeking to become a better goalkeeper. I embrace every opportunity to take my skills to the next level.  I am a team player and happy to contribute to my teams in any way possible. 

I am honored to have been selected to my High School Varsity team in 8th grade (at age 12).  I started in 5 games and played a total of 7.  In my second Varsity season, I competed against two upper-level students (12th & 11th) for the starting position and started every game with the exception of Senior Day.  

In January 2023, I was invited to join the Girls Academy team at NYSC. With NYSC, we were the 2023 U14 Jefferson Cup Champions.   

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to compete & study at the highest level of soccer and academics.  I attend the Bronxville School, a competitive public school (ranked #133 nationally - U.S. News & Report).

Outside of school & sports: I‘ve been a Girl Scout since 2015.  I was awarded the Girl Scouts’ Silver Award for making a difference in my community - founding Fostering Fashion Forward, a teen-focused clothing drive and campaign to provide clothing, coats, and personal products to homeless and at-risk students in the Mount Vernon High School - where 200+ students are homeless or at-risk. I'm committed to sustaining this relationship beyond the service project's conclusion and eagerly anticipate maintaining it throughout high school.
