My name is Caly Stewart and I am a 2021 soccer player attending high school at the Ross School in East Hampton. I am a very competitive and disciplined person which has helped me to progress rapidly on the soccer field. When I am playing, whether it be in games, drills, or scrimmages, I give my all in order to constantly better my abilities. I am willing to put in extra work and frequently attend additional morning practices along with my afternoon club practices. I am focused and bring a positive energy to any team I play on. I want to play soccer in college because I love the energy of being on the field and recognize that playing the sport has not only improved my athletic skills but has also bettered me as a person. Playing at a high college level will require commitment and dedication, and I believe those are qualities that I embody each day. The first year soccer was offered at my school was during my sophomore year and I played on the varsity team. I started playing on the Southampton United Soccer Club in the summer of 2019, and have thoroughly enjoyed pushing myself to the next level on the field. In my sophomore year I received the award of female athlete of the year at my school which was an incredible honor. I enjoy challenging myself and, in school, I choose to take academic electives including advanced classes on top of my regular classes. So far I have maintained top grades in all my classes. I am disciplined and passionate about all that I choose to do and I look forward to continuing to play soccer at the collegiate level. I know I have a lot to offer with my determination, skill, and work ethic.
