My name is Gabriela Molina, and I am bilingual and Colombian by birth. I've been a soccer player since I was eight years old. Since then, I've developed a love for the game and have gained certainty that I can compete at the collegiate level. I'm able to recognize that the possibility to play college soccer could significantly change the path of my life and would like to be given that chance.
I demonstrate good footwork, smart passing, accurate shooting, sharp vision, and strong defensive qualities on the field. I am also aware of how to manage my mental state during a competitive game. For my teammates, I see myself as a leader, and I constantly attempt to help others improve. I enjoy encouraging others and setting an example for them. To ensure everyone is paying interest, I help my coach lead certain drills or training. I enjoy receiving constructive criticism from those in higher positions who have more knowledge. I am a very coachable person and I try to be a hardworking student and an athlete.
In academics, I study hard to maintain a high GPA. I genuinely like learning new things in each subject and will use this information to be successful in the future. This year, I took part in the STEM Symposium at my school and was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Although I am not sure what I want to study yet, I believe I can commit to a career that will be intriguing to me to continue my education in college. I am open to numerous possibilities of colleges and hope to ultimately select the ideal college for both academics and athletics. My ultimate objective is to compete at the highest level possible and, more importantly, to make my parents proud.
