“Our destiny is not written for us, it’s written by us” -Barack Obama
What makes a successful soccer player? Some may think it’s as simple as having great ball control and a powerful kick. I have worked hard to master these skills. But I've learned in my 11 years of playing soccer that it takes so much more to truly be successful. Yes, It requires hard work, both physical and mental, but most of all it takes passion. Soccer has been my passion since I started playing when I was 5 years old. From my Pee-wee soccer camp and Town Recreational team all the way to my High School and Club team- my passion, commitment and love for the sport has grown. I’ve formed many strong bonds with my coaches and teammates over the years. My teammates describe me as a “quiet leader”, until I get on the field. At the end of my high school sophomore season my teammates gave me the “Rough and tough, Never give up” award. I am a fierce competitor, always give 100%, and believe I am ready to play at the next level.
I am interested in a program where I can have a positive impact both on and off the field. I have a strong passion for learning and I am equally committed to succeeding as a student along with soccer. My goal is to study in a challenging academic program in the medical field. I am excited to join a team where I can continue to learn and excel, build strong relationships and ultimately contribute to a team in a special way.
