My name is Megan O’Prey. I am 16 years old and will graduate from Tappan Zee High School in 2024. I joined my club team at the age of 6. In the following years I got to train with many different coaches. They all played at different levels of competition. Some coaches played in college and others played at the professional level of competition.
I have played Center-Mid for the most of my club career, but I have also played Outside Back and Wing Forward. However, I feel most comfortable playing in the Middle. My goal as a player is to perform at a high level to increase my skill and joy for the game.
I would love to study to become a physical therapist. Since I realize academics are important, I have maintained a 96 average and am enrolled in honors classes in high school.
I enjoy helping people whether it is on the field or off. I am a team leader whether it is passing someone the ball for an assist or helping a player when they are struggling.
As an athlete, I feel it is a major asset to have great people skills to help your team on and off the field. For example, I was captain on my club team (2021-2024), captain of my high school team (fall 2023) and in this leadership role I was able to improve my skills as well as the skills of my teammates.
