Hi my name is Samantha Graf and I have been playing soccer since the age of 4. I always enjoyed playing soccer as a striker. In 6th grade I started playing goalkeeper because we would rotate this position, it was't long before I really enjoyed the thrill of goalkeeper. Soccer looked so different from this point of view, I loved being able to see the whole game. By the 7th grade I started some training for this position and it just grew from there. The goalkeeper position allows me be part of the whole game. During my development as a goalkeeper, I learned I am a leader on and off the field. Soccer gave me the confidence to run for student government and I have loved being part of this organization ever since.
I am a hardworking student with high academic goals. I am currently interested in majoring in business/finance and then would like to attend Law School. Competition drives me and this past year I won a moot court tournament, which has helped shape my career goals. Soccer keeps me focused, organized and driven. It has helped me become a better student, better person and better leader. Although I train hard and often, each session brings something new. I am always looking to learn how to be better. I will be an asset to any team I am part of as I am easy to get along with, can communicate effectively during game play and I am coachable.
