As a student-athlete I would like to attend a highly regarded college with a highly competitive women's soccer team. I am currently a junior at Suffern High School, and with the completion of this past season, have been playing competitive soccer for eight years. I have had a lot of success and moved up a level after two years.
My successes have been in both High School and Club ball. For example, as a Freshman I was the starting Junior Varsity Keeper and only gave up 6 goals in 21 games (16 regular season games and 5 preseason games). My club team won the Rider Cup college showcase in Fort Dix (3/13/11) on penalty kicks and the Needham (MPS) Invitational & College Showcase (5/27/12) on penalty kicks. In both I stopped two shots to help our team win the tournaments. I have many other accomplishments but my true success is in my love for the game of soccer. I truly love playing soccer more than anything else. From U11 through U15 I played forward as well as keeper. At U12 I was the second highest scorer on the team only playing forward part of the time.
I like to spend my time volunteering training younger players with our club and I also love music. I play the guitar and play in the school jazz band.
My career goals remain undefined at this point, but math and science are my strong subjects. I look forward to college as a wonderful opportunity to pursue my education and to focus on my career development. I believe my skills and abilities would fit well in highly competitive soccer program and I believe I can contribute to the success of a highly regarded soccer team.
