My name is Emilee Eaton and I am a class of 2021 defender. I play for one of the top clubs in North Carolina, the Charlotte Independence Soccer Club (2003 CISC North NPL G). I was introduced to soccer when I was 5 years old. I have loved and played in some sort of league in every spring or fall since. The reason that I started playing soccer is because I love to play and compete. I love the game, teammates and coaches and have built a lot of great relationships that I wouldn’t have if I didn’t play. I believe that I am a great leader and a better teammate. Competing at various levels and through the years I’ve been able to grow and get better as I have continued to learn the game. I’ve been lucky to develop a decent skill set but am always looking to be challenged by the next training session, camp or game that is on my schedule. My dream is to play in college for a competitive program where I can continue to grow and learn this game and maybe one day achieve the pinnacle of the sport and play professionally.
My career goals after I’m done playing on the pitch is to be able to work with children. Exercise Science and Child Psychology have my interest and I intend to pursue a career working with children after soccer. I’ve thought of coaching as well as I believe that the leadership skills that I’ve developed and am continuously working on will be a strong foundation to be able to do so.
