Hello, my name is Baylee Steele, and I play center back for both my club and high school teams. I hope to play soccer at a high collegiate level while excelling in academics. I am very competitive both on and off the field, where I ranked among the top in my class.
As a captain of my current club team, I have developed many leadership skills. This role has helped me grow as both a player and a leader, allowing me to motivate my teammates and contribute to our overall success.
I believe I am a distinct player because I play a physical and versatile game, thanks to my experience in multiple other sports. I participate in four sports (soccer, basketball, cross country, and track) at my high school, achieving success in each sport. These different experiences have made me not only a better athlete but also a stronger teammate. I enjoy accomplishing my individual goals as well as those set by my teams.
Some of my favorite parts of the game are the memories I make with my teammates but also the feeling of absolutely shutting down the opposing players. With my strong training in defensive technique, I feel confident in 1v1 defensive situations, where I thrive due to my speed and quick decision-making skills. Soccer is a passion that I have and I plan to continue to grow that passion by increasing my knowledge and performance of the game so that I can play at the collegiate level.
