My name is Emily Wilkinson, and I am a 5'4 striker for the Triangle United Soccer Association 07/08 NCYSA girls gold team as well as Oxford Preparatory's Varsity Girls Soccer team. My work ethic and leadership skills make me a good candidate for collegiate soccer. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and have always pushed myself to be the best I can be for my team. What sets me apart from other athletes is my determination for the game and unwillingness to give anything less than 100% at all times. No matter what the score is, I will play 100% all the time. In my past two years of high school soccer, I have been named captain and have received All-Conference honors both my sophomore and junior year. I am really foused on the team aspect of soccer and would love to play somewhere that really captivates the community feeling. I am also a multisport athlete, including cross country, golf, basketball, and a 1st degree black belt instructor in Tang Soo Do. Athletetics are very important to me; however, I put academics first. I maintain a 4.41 GPA in my high school, being in the top 10% of the class. I am taking college classes through Vance Granville Community College's CCP Program and intend to graduate high school with my associate in arts degree.
