My name is Samantha Deaton. I will be a senior in high school! I want to study sports medicine or related undergraduate degree. I am interested in helping athletes get back on the field to the sport they love as much as I do. I have been interested in this major since my sophomore year, after taking Sports Med, one of my favorite classes. Also, this career path would allow me to stay in the sports field.
I am in my third year of playing club soccer. Before committing full-time to soccer, I played volleyball, track, softball, and flag football, and was on my high school swim team. During my soccer career, my coaches have utilized my skills at every position and remarked on my versatility and speed, which I am confident will support my goal of playing soccer in college. Over the past three years, I have concentrated on developing my speed, strength, and agility while learning all aspects of soccer. My coaches have described me as strong, respectful, and resilient, as well as a good communicator on and off the field. Soccer allows me to express myself as a natural leader, work as a team, and compete athletically.
