Pamela Averill '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Pamela  J. Averill. I have been playing  soccer since I was 6 years old. I am now 17 years old and a Junior in high school. I can honestly say I really fell in love with soccer, but I really wasn't that good. My parents told me to stick with it and in time I may get better.  They were right and I absolutely love it even more today. I have played several different positions over the years, but for the the last 6 years I have been playing keeper.  As a keeper, I feel I have to push myself even harder and I love the pressure of being in that box during games. When I'm not in the box I usually play center mid, right wing, center forward or a sweeper, but can play wherever a coach needs me to play. I have good speed on the field and a very competitive nature. I love to push myself and see how far I can go. I’m the type of player that takes the advice and criticisms of my coaches and teammates and I will always try an fix whatever I need to, to improve myself on and off the field. My dream is to continue playing soccer as long as I can.
