I am a multisport student athlete who is interested in playing high level soccer in college. In addition to athletics, I would like to attend a university which provides an academic environment where I can be challenged in a field of study I decide to pursue.
I currently play club soccer for Cincinnati United Premier’s (CUP) Girls Academy (GA) 2008 team, in the Mid Atlantic division of the highly competitive GA league. Playing in the GA not only provides a highly competitive national soccer environment, but also provides several resources outside of soccer that I feel are beneficial to me as a student athlete. Such resources include strength and conditioning, athlete mindset training, and community outreach opportunities. The GA also provides opportunities to travel nationally and compete at showcase events at IMG Academy as well as other highly recognized venues on a yearly basis.
As a Freshman in high school (Division 1), I played on the women’s varsity soccer team and was fifth in the highly competitive Greater Western Ohio Conference (GWOC) in scoring and assists, after 12 games into the season. Playing with athletes who were older taught me a lot about what it takes to compete at that level, both physically and mentally.
Playing competitive sports give me the opportunity to learn life long lessons such as teamwork, building relationships, and working with other towards a common goal. I feel I am a coachable and motivated student athlete who focuses on academics as my main priority, in hopes to put me in a successful position after soccer.
