Soccer is a universal sport that has connected me with the world.
My dad is Polish and he has been a lifelong player and fan of the game. We started playing soccer together in the yard when I was about four years old. Since I have been playing, I learned to control the ball with nearly every surface of my feet and body. I have also developed a good soccer IQ and field vision. I started playing futsal when I was nine which taught me to play in tight spaces and hold up the ball under pressure.
Before I reached the age of eleven, when I joined a ECNL Girls team, I played on a boys’ team that included first generation Americans and immigrants from Algeria, Egypt, Serbia, Ukraine, England, and Mexico. The club I played for also regularly partnered with Akron inner-city soccer for tournaments where I was able to play alongside a diverse group of players. Through futsal, I have traveled to Madrid, Barcelona, and Buenos Aires to play and attend professional matches in each country. Through all these experiences, I am continuing to develop my game constantly and learning to bring creativity in my passing, changes of pace, and 1v1 play.
My dream is to continue to play soccer at the next level in college/university and build a career in a field that will allow me to continue to travel and meet people from all over the world.
