Meghan Foster '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

     My name is Meghan Foster and I'm currently a junior at Springfield Catholic Central High School in Springfield, Ohio.  Although, I play multiple sports throughout the year, soccer is by far my favorite and my major focus besides my grades.  I started playing soccer in kindergarten, and I grew up watching my older sister play at the club level and high school level.  I not only play for my high school team, but I also play for Springfield Thunder in the Spring.  Other sports I play are volleyball, basketball, and track.  I have been a varsity player at each of these sports, plus I have played AAU basketball in the past.  I have done all of this and managed to take challenging classes at school and maintain a high GPA.  I look forward to trying to extend my soccer career at the college level mainly because I truly love the sport and I can't see myself not being part of a team.  

     Although my school was small we played at a high level, and I was fortunate to be on this team with such amazing teammates.  In my freshman and sophomore years we finished second in our league, and my sophomore year we were district runner-ups.  My junior year has been the most challenging, and yet the most rewarding year by far.  We lost eight seniors to graduation the year before, and only returned four players with varsity experience.  The rest of the team was made up of first year players.  In this year I learned the true meaning of teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership.  I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.  I look forward to hearing from you and I encourage you to contact my coaches.
