I was introduced to the game of golf in 7th grade by my grandpa. I immediately feel in love with the game and was told I have an extremely natural golf swing for somebody who had never played and I had a special talent around the greens. Making it to the district tournament with my team my freshman year was my favorite moment of my golf career so far. It was a good learning experience for me especially since it was only my first year of high school golf. Making the district tournament motivated me to work hard and try my hardest and make it back every year either with my team or individually to finish my career and the main goal would be to win districts individually. Unfortunately my sophomore year I battled a snap hook and still am and failed to make it to districts. This motivated me as a student-athlete to go out and work harder than I ever have and figure out how to unlock the potential I have athletically and academically. Through my first two years of high school golf I've learned what its like to be a leader and the differences of being a good one and a bad one. I've also learned the importance of commitment, teamwork, and the mental aspect of the game. I hope to find a program that is a fit for me athletically and academically. I believe I have the capability and talent to be a college golfer but as the leadership ability and work ethic to really help your program out!
