I was born (2002) and raised in Bend, Oregon, a town on the eastern slope of the Cascade Mountains. From the time I was little I loved playing sports. I played catcher for little league (the only girl on the team), point guard in basketball, and of course soccer. I played a lot as a striker, but I really fell in love with goalkeeping. In addition to soccer, I'm interested in social justice, designing athletic shoes, and meeting every dog I can. In 2017 I was invited mid-season to come on as a practice player for the Portland Thorns Development Academy, 2001/2002 team. In May 2018 I tried out for and made the Portland Thorns DA U17 team (coach: Laura Schott). Training and playing with a team in Portland, three hours from my home in Bend, means many hours on the road. The time spent traveling has made me a better student athlete: I've learned to manage my time and do my homework as I travel, and have found that consistent and direct communication with my teachers is key. I've worked hard to keep a 4.0 and am a member of the National Honor Society.
