Juliet Twemlow '27 Recruiting Profile

I am a forward/midfielder from Kamloops, British Columbia Canada graduating in the class of 2027. I moved to Portland, Oregon for soccer in August 2024 to play on the Portland Thorns G09 ECNL team and just finished my first season, placing 4th in league with 9 wins, 8 ties and 1 loss for the season. I scored 9 goals with 4 assists with 18 starts this season. I look forward to competing again on the varsity team for Lincoln High School this fall.

In Portland I've been invited to train multiple times with the Thorns first team in practices, and recently made my pro debut with the Thorns FC vs. Japan Urawa Red Diamonds. I've also practiced and played with the Thorns Academy WPSL team this summer. In the spring I was selected to the Provisional Squad for the Canadian WYNT CONCAF Qualifiers in Nicaragua. 

I played this summer with Elite XI Canada at the Gothia Cup. The head coach had this to say about me. “Juliet played every match with maturity and poise, transitioning seamlessly from her natural winger role into center back, where she excelled beyond expectation. Her performances were commanding as she consistently won aerial duels, broke up dangerous attacks, and initiated play from the back with composure. She was regularly the best player on the pitch on either team and set the standard for excellence in every match. Her impact was undeniable.” 

My speed, work ethic, vision of the field and ability to confidently use both feet set me apart from other players. I love using my quick feet and fast acceleration to take 1v1’s while attacking and create scoring opportunities. I’m a versatile player who is quick on transitions, a strong defender, and can easily adapt to new positions. My sportsmanship, commitment, and passion for the game make me an asset to any team.
