Camryn Rogers '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello!

I'm Camryn Rogers and I'm a dual sport athlete in Soccer and Track & Field. I am open to playing both sports or either one in college, depending on the best fit for my academic future. My goal is to compete in collegiate sports while working towards a degree from an excellent academic institution to provide a strong foundation for a successful professional career.

My athletic career has been heavily focused on soccer since I was young.  I have been a major contributor on teams in every level possible including on the nationally ranked Pittsburgh Hotspurs ('05) on which I played until the COVID-19 pandemic.  We won numerous high level tournaments around the Mid-Atlantic and excelled in the Great Lakes League.  My high school team, Plum Senior High School, was a PIAA state semi-finalist in 2021 and has been runner up in WPIAL's for the past 3 seasons.  Unfortunately, we were knocked out each time by our biggest rival, Mars Area High School, who has gone undefeated and won the state championship 3 times.  But I did assist on the first goal they had given up in 2 years in our 2-1 defeat in the WPIAL championship in 2021!  I also scored the game winning goal in the PIAA state quarterfinal matchup which was the furthest win in our school history.  I finished the season with 12 regular season and 6 playoff goals and expect to significantly increase those numbers next season.  I am capable of playing multiple positions but excel as an outside mid.  I have a nose for the net and won't give up until we put it in.

Throughout my athletic career, I have always been the best teammate that brings a positive and supportive attitude to every team I'm on. I've always enjoyed helping and motivating the younger girls on my teams. They've always looked up to me and I have provided a good example for them. I am extremely coachable and look forward to further developing my abilities with your leadership!

I am an athlete that gives it my all in every practice, competition, and classroom while being a great teammate and friend. I know I can be an asset to your team and a great representative of the school.
