Hi Coaches,
my name is Kennedie Needham. I am from Montreal Canada but I am currently In Rhode Island at St - George’s prep school on a full ride. I am currently in 9th grade (class of 2027).
Before coming to St George’s, I played for my local club Pierrefonds. Pierrefond had the highest level of competition in Canada for my age and I joined their PLSJQ ( Premier League de Soccer Juvenile du Quebec) team. A few years ago, I was accepted into my region’s Sport-Études program, which is a school program for elite athletes to continue training in a sport and go to school with other elite student athletes. In grade 8 when I was at Sport-Études I play with the best of the grade 9,10 and 11s. 2021-2022 season I was co-captain of my club team and finished top goal scorer on my team with 9 goals playing as an attacking midfielder. I made my Lac St-Louis regional team (over 100 Girls were invited - 16 were ultimately chosen) and went to the Quebec games. After finishing second in the Quebec Games, I was chosen to attend the Quebec Selects identification camp. 50 players from ALL the province were invited, I was super excited and nervous.
Academics have always been a strength of mine. I am fluently bilingual in English and French. Starting from kindergarten I have won an academic award every year. When I graduated Elementary school, Grade 6, I received the citizenship, the music, physical education and student of the year awards. When I was enrolled at John Rennie High School in Grade 8, I was on the honor roll through my first year and received the english/ethics award as well as the physical education award. I also enjoy reading. Thank you!
