Rachael Abbott '24 Recruiting Profile

Playing collegiate soccer is my aspiration and I have been working toward that goal since my early days of youth soccer.  I stand out on my high school and club teams by my positive attitude, coaching ability and soccer IQ.  My academics are equally important , and my current GPA of 4.0 positions me well to be a dynamic member of a college team. This year I was fortunate enough to be secretary of my class, and president of the Club Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse. At the center back position, I have a positive influence for the team and feel that leadership and positive communication are key skills. This also correlates with the center defensive midfield position as I have to be well versed in the positions throughout the midfield, to be able to assist my teammates and perform to the best of my ability. Some of my personal awards so far in my career include 1st Team All Division 2 in 2021, and in 2022 I received the All Tournament Team for Division 1. I am a very adaptable player as I can play anywhere in the back line, as well as the center midfield. I also have a great passion for the sport which pushes me to play at the collegiate level.
