Hello, my name is Tania Weyland. I have played soccer since I was 10 years old. It has always been an important part of my life and my passion. I have played soccer for the Women’s U-15, U-17, and U-20 National Teams of the U.S Virgin Islands. I have represented the U.S Virgin Islands in 2018, 2019, and I played for the U.S Virgin Islands’ Women’s Under-20 National Team in 2021. I have been selected to represent the U.S. Virgin Islands’ Women’s National Team in the upcoming Women's World Cup Qualifiers in February of 2022. I also participated in the South Region ODP Girls 2004 program in the summer of 2021.
I have played for four clubs: Laraza VI Soccer Club (2014-2018), FCUSA 04 Girls (2018-2020), Memphis FC High 02/03 Girls (2020-2021), and I currently play for the 03/04 Lady Lobos Rush Showcase Team. I have played Varsity Soccer for four years since 8th grade and I have been a starter each year. I played on the Cape Cod Academy Girls Varsity Soccer Team when I was in 8th and 9th grade. Next Fall Season, I will be in my third year of playing for the Lausanne Collegiate School Varsity Girls Soccer team. I have received both MVP and Coach Awards in soccer as well as in other sports.
Along with soccer, academics is an important part of my life; I am presently part of the IB Diploma Programme at Lausanne Collegiate School. I have a 4.11 GPA . I am a member of NHS, and I have received numerous awards for Outstanding Achievements as well as excellence in several subject areas. I currently plan on majoring in International Studies and minoring in French and Spanish.
