Michaelah Porter '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Michaelah Porter.  I am a junior homeschooled student and play for Morristown East High school in Morristown, TN.

I have played for Lakeway Soccer Club and Knoxville Football Club. I will be starting my next season of club soccer in the spring with Greenville Galaxy in Greenville, TN. I am captain of my high school team, and I have started all three years. I plan to help lead my team to the playoffs again this year.

I have experience in multiple positions. These positions include center back, left and right fullback, left and right midfield, center and attacking midfield, and forward. I have also played in multiple formations. This experience has helped make me a well-rounded player. Currently I am playing center attacking midfield and forward. I was awarded Second Team All-District as a freshman. During club season this year, I scored a total of seventeen goals along with a winning goal to take the team to State Tournament. I also assisted thirteen goals. We have played 8 high school games this year. I have 15 goals and 9 assists. Our record is 7-1.  My strengths are skill, speed and leadership.

My favorite subjects in school are Science, and Literature. My GPA is a 3.9 and I will be taking the SAT in October. I believe majoring in Biology will help me succeed at what I choose to do. I am considering Veterinary Medicine or Radiologic Technology as a career path. I currently work at an animal hospital as an assistant and I enjoy it. I also job shadow my dad as works at local hospitals and watch the Radiologic Technologists work.  He is a field service engineer for Toshiba Medical Systems.
