Ava Sweere '27 Recruiting Profile

 I began playing soccer at a young age and developed a passion for the sport.  My devotion to the game has always made me strive to be the best version of myself both on and off the field. I like to push myself by setting goals, such as playing D1, playing soccer at the collegiate level, and being the best at what I’m doing. Over time in the sport, I have grown in skill by not only setting goals and achieving them, but by working hard no matter what comes my way.  I have always been told that I have the natural ability of a goalie, but ability is just the start. I am an extremely competitive person, and I always push myself to be the best whether it’s on the classroom or on the field. 

Academically, I have maintained good grades even while taking honors courses and keeping up with my team’s soccer schedule as well as goalie training.  

On the field I believe my job is to be a leader and to encourage my teammates.  Therefore, I always strive to be a great communicator and to always lift my teammates up with words of encouragement when they are down.
