My name is Ava Brooklyn Brandt,
Soccer has been more than just a sport for me; it has been a way of life. I have been playing since I was 4 years old. Over the years, soccer has taught me the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, which have become integral to both my athletic and academic pursuits. As I look ahead to my college career, I am eager to continue my journey on the soccer field while pursuing a degree in education.
I am currently a senior goalie at Allen High School in Texas. I'm looking forward to my senior year 2025. I currently play for the Renegades ECRL team. Under Coach Aerial Brandt. I have had the opportunity to be a team captain my freshmen year and received the “Most Inspirational Player” award. I always strive to be a team leader and be an example to others.
One of the most rewarding experiences I have had as a soccer player has been the opportunity to mentor younger players in my community and within my club team.. Coaching and assisting with soccer clinics have allowed me to share my passion for the game and help others develop their skills and confidence. I also volunteer in my church in the youth ministry. I enjoy teaching and sharing the word to our pre-school and elementary kids. These experiences have also sparked my interest in education, as I have seen firsthand the impact that a dedicated and supportive mentor can have on a young person’s life.
My interest in education comes from a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students, just as my coaches and teachers have done for me. I believe that education is not just about imparting knowledge but also about inspiring and empowering students to reach their full potential. My goal is to become an educator who not only teaches but also serves as a role model and mentor, helping students navigate their own paths to success.
Balancing academics with competitive soccer has taught me valuable time management and organizational skills, which I believe will serve me well in college. I have learned how to set priorities, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain focus on both short-term and long-term goals. My commitment to excellence on the field is equally important as my dedication to my studies, and I am confident that I can contribute to both the athletic and academic communities at the university I attend.
In conclusion, I see my college experience as a time to grow both as a student-athlete and as a future educator. I am ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, and I look forward to contributing to the community both on and off the field.
Sincerely,
Ava Brandt
