I started playing soccer when I was 6 and have never stopped. Even at an early age, I was driven to play as hard as possible not only in games but when practicing. My off seasons have always been spent attending camps, going to the gym, and training privately with soccer coaches and sprint coaches, all because I love the sport. I am an intense player who is aggressive, focused, driven, and plays through inconveniences such as heat, cold, and pain without thinking twice.
I have an all time favorite coach, Rena Richardson, who as been an amazing role model. She is a very tough coach who pushes her players and doesn't tolerate slacking but at the same time, cares about the players well being. She pushed me to be a better player, taught me how to be a positive leader, and taught me to coach. Rena encouraged my love of soccer not only as a player but as a coach. Which leads me to my future....
I have been coaching since I was 14 and was the youngest paid coach for Challenge Soccer Club. I love this game with my whole being and can't see myself ever doing anything else. Soccer is my future. I don't want to stop playing which is why I want to play in college, however, I won't stop there. I want to coach for a living once I'm out of college. I am currently working on my grassroots coaching license and will continue with the other levels. My goal is to be a successful Division 1 collegiate coach. I aspire to be the type of role model and coach that Rena Richardson has been for me. In order to achieve my goals, I will continue to improve my game, continue to coach, and continue to have good grades. I want to earn my degree in education to become a high school biology teacher, again, with the plan to coach as well.
You won't find anyone with a greater love of this sport than me. Because of that love, my entire life is centered around the game. My coaching background is very helpful on the field as a positive leader who can not only positively encourage players but provide positive, constructive guidance. I am driven to be successful on the field and off the field in everything I do.
