Greetings,
I’m Savannah Meyers and I am a Varsity attacking midfielder; however, I am a diverse player and can deliver on any position.
I was born in Virginia and raised in Texas (DFW area). I started playing soccer at 4 and the love for the game is stronger than ever.
Some of the things I like to do when I’m not playing soccer is spend time with my friends and my dog, Odie. I like to listen to music. I love animals and I also love the beach.
As for the game, it has taught me how to be a team player, be optimistic and future focused, and understand my role as a player on the field. My drive for soccer has increased over the years and it gets better as the years go by. I have reached milestones, I never thought I could. My Freshman year as a Varsity player, I was named TAPPS District 1; all District Team. I was able to experience a State Championship game. In addition, I have had the opportunity to be a Co-Captain of my club soccer team for the past three years. My Sophomore year, I was named TAPPS District 1: All District and All State. My Junior year I was A selectee for All District; First Team, All State Honorable Mentioned and Academic All State. These blessings have only increased my drive to push harder and get 1% better every day.
I am grateful for all the relationships I have built with my teammates and coaches. I am especially thankful for my mom who has supported me and pushed me to become the best I can be. I am beyond grateful for my High School coach, Jay Fitzgerald who has instill in me hard work, discipline, encouraged me to reach higher while remaining humble. I am also thankful for my club coach, John Rivera, who has also pushed me to continue to work hard and to be a leader on and off the field. These individuals believe in me and for this; I’m forever thankful. I am looking forward to continue to grow as a player and build on what I have already learned.
