Personal Statement
During my sophomore year, we built a new varsity team with fresh inexperienced players and a different coach. I was appointed captain and put in charge of the younger players to make sure they improved as athletes and were aware of team events. The wide range of responsibility helped me grow as a player and person. I developed many of my intangible skills, increasing my understanding of the game, leadership, and overall patience. These skills were useful when I was voted captain by my club teammates; my confidence level as a player and leader brought me to a new level of play.
I would like to find a school that challenges me both academically and athletically, I hope to become the best person possible. While I am unsure of what I would like to major in, I am open to learning new things and have the adaptability, leadership, and character that can contribute athletically and academically to your school.
