I was born in Louisiana and am that girl with 5 nicknames but Mak is what they call me on the field. I spent my early childhood living abroad in South Korea & Dubai before arriving at Tompkins High School in Katy, TX. Soccer wasn't something I sought out but instead it was introduced to me by a little 11 year old girl named Maggie in Dubai. Unfortunately we moved to TX before Maggie and I got to play together. I decided to continue playing in TX and was introduced to club soccer. I won't lie, I had to work hard and learn the game quickly. I was the underdog. I had luck on my side because I was naturally fast and found that I could easily read the game and opponents. I put in the work and finally made it to the ECNL Regional League. I think any of my coaches would say my best qualities as a player are that I do work hard and always show up. Last year I was voted Captain by my teammates and I do believe the reason is because I am a quiet leader by example-show up, put in the work and go train some more. I also make sure to be supportive to everyone from the back line.
I am an attacking minded outside back and love to drive the field. However, because of this coaches have played me at mid and outside forward positions as well.
I plan to study Physical Therapy undergrad and go on to earn a Doctorate.
