Sofia Becerra '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi  i'm Sofia and I started playing soccer at the age of 11 for recreation, and decided in the past couple years that I would love to play at the collegiate level.   I chose soccer as my focus because of the challenge. Soccer to me, is an undecided match that is won by the team that never gives up on each other and  can utilize everyone's talents to reach one goal.  That's basically what life is. I have been through many traumatic experiences and have been able to learn from people (a team) that taught me how to be strong. 

I learn from everything I do, and I look forward to everything any coach  or professor has to offer. I am very coachable and  eager to grow as both an individual and as a player. The strongest characteristics that I can bring to any program is helping others learn the value of forgiveness, hard work and perseverance.  I maintain A's and B's in school and will be pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice after I graduate.
