Hello, my name is Victoria Solis and I play soccer in San Antonio, TX. My Hispanic family has always been crazy about football and that played an important role in my life. I became interested when my dad taught me the basic steps of football in the backyard. As I got older I struggled with my low-self esteem during the game. My parents did a very good role of helping me get over this obstacle. One lesson my father taught me was in order to gain results, I must work for it. Whether it was sports or school, this helped me overcome my old self into a vailant and dedicated person.
This sport taught me to get back on my feet when knocked down, encourage others when down, and have passion. My goals for college is to have a physical and personal growth period throughout my years of college and be a captivating leader for the team. On the field, I strive to be a dynamic player and have a great impact on the team. I thrive in playing with tough competition and look forward to playing at the collegiate level. As a Sophomore, I go to an early college high school and I have experience in taking college classes to get my Associate's degree. I have the same expectations for my academics, I believe I will do well on or off the field and have the mindset of a student-athlete.
