Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer at a competitive level for eight years in the Dallas area and in various indoor leagues. I live in a small town, so there isn't a lot of soccer that is played at a high level. I have a big family, with 5 brothers and 1 sister, so I always have someone to practice with.
I am currently in 11th grade at Sulphur Springs High School and have played on the girls varsity soccer team for 2 years. I also play for FC Dallas 05 ECNL-RL. My club is based in Frisco, which is a 1 1/2 hour drive from my house one way. I also attend private training twice a week in Frisco with Scott Sealy. I am committed to playing soccer and improving my skills. I really want to play at a high level in college because I believe I am capable of doing so. I know playing in college is very different than anything I have done. I am more of a technical player and like to keep possession of the ball instead of just kicking and running. I play mainly in the center mid-field. I can play either attacking or defensive mid, but prefer attacking. I also have a great work ethic and character. I work hard at everything I do because I know that's what will make me different and improve my skills. My strengths are definitely my technical skills and I also think I read the game very well. My goals are to become the best player I can become and get into a good college to play. I also would like to graduate high school with a GPA of 4.0. I would like to study to become a physical therapist.
