Hi Coaches! My name is Fernanda Pina-Salinas. I was born in Portugal in the Island of Açores, São Miguel. I’ve been playing soccer since I was 8 years old. Throughout my years of experience, soccer has taught me valuable lessons about respect through good sportsmanship, kindness through the struggles of a sport, and perseverance through the mental and physical commitment that comes alongside dedication. In addition, I’ve grown to learn that the key to success is hard work; therefore, this realization has led me to become more passionate, and drive me to push myself everyday. The people around me have described me as a very energetic player because of my positivity. When I’m on or off the field, I always carry a smile on my face demonstrating the joy of playing the sport I love. Soccer is not only my escape but my home; I aspire to play in college as well as, professionally!
