Ximena Hammeken Iturralde '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ximena Hammeken, and I am currently 18 years old. I was born in Mexico city, but moved to Houston Texas when I was 7 years old. 

I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember, It has always been a big part of my family, and playing soccer has always been the right thing for me to do. I began playing, in Mexico, when I was about 3 years old. Shortly after I moved to Houston, I began getting more serious about the sport.  I have played for Texas Rush Soccer Club, Challenge Soccer club, and I currently play at what is now Houston Dynamo Dash Youth, as well as playing for my school, Tomball High School. I have played ECNL and I am currently in Pre Academy. I got various offers to play at the GA level, but I declined because I wanted to play soccer in high school, something the GA didn't allow at the time. I have been so happy playing where I am. I like to have fun, and try new things. Whether it be new tricks or new positions, I am always ready to go with a positive attitude. As a forward, I love scoring goals, but nothing excites me more than being in the mid field. I love creating opportunities for my teammates and playing balls over the top for our forwards to run on to. I like being a play maker. In the future, I want to be able to bring new skills, new chances, and new wins for my team.
