Laney Forbush '25 Recruiting Profile

First of all I love soccer! I started playing city league soccer when I was 4 years old, and have played club soccer since I was 7. I play on the 07 Utah Celtic FC Girls Academy team. I have big goals and the determination to achieve them. Throughout my soccer career I have started, and come off the bench always ready to go and fired up. I am always willing to play wherever my coach needs me to play. I primarily play midfield, but I am currently playing forward wing due to teammate injuries. I have stepped in as an outside back when needed as well. I am a positive player on and off the field. I consider myself to be a good teammate as well as very coachable. I bring humior and a light side to the team! But when the whistle is blown my competitve side takes over. My team travels a lot, but I continue to maintain my 4.0. Soccer is important but grades are just as important and will come first. I played J.V as a freshman on the Spanish Fork High School soccer team. And as a sophmore I played lots of Varsity minutes and was often counted on in the final minutes of the game to step in and make something happen. I'm now a junior and a starter this season.  I hope to continue playing high level soccer as well as studying criminal law in college. I value a good education. I am very fortunate to play with a team that has the same priorities and values as I do... SOCCER, FAMILY, FRIENDS, EDUCATION!
