I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. When I was 8 I moved to Vienna, Austria where I really fell in love with futbol. While living in Austria, I was able to learn more about the game by playing with Soccer Factory (a local soccer club run by coaches from Ireland, Scotland and England). Once I was able to play for my school I quickly jumped on the opportunity and made the 8th grade team as a 6th and 7th grader. While playing on my school team I traveled throughout Europe playing in various school tournaments. Once my school season ended, I tried out for an Austrian girls club team by the name of UFC Landhaus. This was a new level of play for me. Training and games were all in German and our league mostly played boys. Thankfully, I finished the season more resilient, aggressive, a better player and more fluent in German. I moved back to the USA when I was 13 years old. It was challenging finding a team that had a player position available and was willing to let me try out since I had never played for a club team in the USA. I finally found my place with FC Virginia. I am very thankful to play for FC Virginia United and love playing on the defensive line. My goal for the up coming season is to become a regular starter and improve my first touch to better position the ball to my teammates. A few fun facts about me, I am the oldest of 5 children and was a pro at changing diapers by age 8. I am fluent in German and hope to study abroad one day in a German speaking country; Being the oldest of 5 children and growing up overseas has taught me to be a tough and independent girl on and off the field. Last but not least I can run a mile in under 6 minutes.
