Paige Bolland '21 Recruiting Profile

I want to attend college and have a well-rounded experience as well as complete a program in a medically related field.  This includes possibly nursing or a doctoral program.  Soccer has been a big part of my life since I was three years old in recreational soccer.  I tried out for and made my first travel team at the age of 8 on a U10 travel team playing up one year. I have played for the Northern Virginia Soccer Club for my entire youth soccer career playing in multiple leagues including WAGS, NCSL, VPL/NPL, and CCL.  One of the highlights for me came in the fall of 2019 when I was invited to try out for a CCL team being put together to play in the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden in the summer of 2020.  Over 400 girls were invited to try out for the team and I was fortunate to be selected as one of the players to join the team and travel to Sweden for the tournament.  Unfortunately, the tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  However, the league has already started to look for another opportunity for us to play in another international tournament in the fall/winter of 2020.

I attend public school in Prince William County Virginia.  When I reached middle school (6th through 8th grades), I tried out for the girls soccer team and was a starter all three years. When I began high school, I tried out for girls soccer and was placed on the Varsity soccer team, one of only 3 freshman on the team and the only starting freshman.  My sophomore year, I was invited to return to the varsity team as a starter and played positions 3, 7, and 11. My junior year, I was again selected for the varsity team, unfortunately the season was canceled due to Covid-19.  I do look forward to playing again next year in my final year of high school.

 I am a versatile player, comfortable playing defense or offense.  I have played many positions over the years including 11, 10, 9, 7, and 3 primarily playing 11 and 3 for the last 2 years.  I am very interested in continuing to play soccer as I pursue my bachelors degree.
