Personal Statement
I hope to be able to play soccer in college and maybe get really good. I started to play in 6th or 7th grade with my brother who is 20 years older than me and some other guys. I learned the rules about a year later online. Because I had learned to keep up with the the guys I played with, I ended up making red-shirt (kinda like JV) my freshman year. I didn't make the actual team because I was still learning the rules and some terms. When my sophomore year came around my coach at the time was going to start me as the defensive anchor, but I ended messing up my knee and tearing my meniscus without even knowing for the next year. Even though I was hurt, I took the the time to heal and continued playing. I know I'm not the best defense player, my kick isn't as strong as I'd like it to be but I do work to get better. Even when playing sport I managed to keep my GPA at a 3.48-3.5. I show good sportsmanship even when I hear someone talking me down but that just makes me want to get better to prove them wrong. Another thing is that I am very dedicated to the sport. When I was a red-shirt, I still went to every practice even though I knew I wasn't going to play, I went to practice to get better and make the team next year
