I am a passionate, strong willed goalkeeper who wants to play at the highest level. I want to do that, while pursuing a degree in Psychology. I have played soccer since I was four years old and as long as I can remember I have loved being a goalie. Some of my fondest memories are of playing in the basement with my dad kicking a foam ball - which I, of course, tried to block. I was 5, so you can imagine how hard that was. But I wasn’t discouraged! I loved spending time with my dad and really formed a love for goalkeeping. As I grew, my love for the sport has only grown stronger as I watched the on-field performance of top players such as Hope Solo. I want to be an inspiration figure to younger goalkeepers not only with my excellent performance on the field, but also in how I treat my team, family, and friends.
I know how to put in the work to achieve my goals. As an 8th grader I was the starting goalkeeper for my high school varsity team. That was 2021 - a tough year for everyone! But as a team we overcame and went on to win a state championship title. At the state championship game last year (2022) we went into overtime and I blocked three back to back shots on goal in the last few minutes. When the game finally went to penalty kicks, I stepped up and with the help of my teammates, we clinched the game for my second consecutive state championship.
