My goal is to play collegiate soccer at a school that will also provide the rigorous academic preparation needed for my expected career in medicine.
As a player, I am a hardworking competitor and a natural leader who can acknowledge and adapt to every situation. I understand tactics from a variety of positions, as well as how to incorporate them into my own game play. My goal in every practice and game is to exhibit positive sportsmanship, visible growth, and a focus on improving the team. Unlike most field players, I am an elite-level center defender, as well as an ECNL-level Goalkeeper. I may not be the tallest player on the pitch, but that only motivates me to become stronger, faster, tougher, and to develop a comprehensive set of skills that I can contribute to any team.
I approach my academics and personal life with the same focus and motivation that I approach my individual soccer development. Math, science, and writing are my favorite subjects and I love to represent my school in the arts (choir and theatre) and as an admissions representative. At home, I enjoy beekeeping with my mom, as well as sewing. As part of my sewing passion, I create sock stuffed animals for an orphanage in Honduras through my charity, SomeBuddyLovesYou.
