Ainsley Lake '27 Recruiting Profile

I began my playing career at the age of 5.  I have always played in the back as a defender, but when goalkeeper became an opportunity for my team, I jumped at it.  I have dedicated myself to goalkeeping and the leadership that comes with the position.  I took that challenge head-on and pride myself on leadership, physicality, communication, bravery, pressure and distribution.  I love high-pressure moments and pride myself on my reaction time and motivating my teammates.

Over my career, I have participated in the WYS EPD program, exceled on the national stage for my club and trained privately to always grow as a player and teammate.  As a student-athlete, I want to attend a university that can help my growth as much as I hope to give back to the school in both academics and athletics.  I enjoy biology and I aspire to be a marine biologist one day.

I get along with different teammate personalities and enjoy the work that builds a winning mentality.  I am passionate about my family and friends and enjoy getting to know others and make them feel welcome.  I rarely get outworked by others and always focus on improving as an athlete and individual to create a winning group of players and don't value individual success over team success.
