Layla Baker '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches! My name is Layla Baker and I am an attacker from Vancouver, Washington. I am a junior at Columbia River High School and play club soccer for the 05 Pacific FC Panthers. My team participates in the Northwest Conference and plays in the Premier Division for league. In 2021 we were ranked 3rd in Washinton State and are currently ranked 8th by GotSoccer. I also play for Columbia River High School as a 7 or 11, and this year we placed 3rd in the 2A Division in Washinton Greater St Hellens League. 

My main position is as a winger, but I am also extremely comfortable in the striker and attacking midfield positions. I have been told that I am a very versatile player and a formidable attacker. Although I am very physical, I know how to control myself and stay composed physically and mentally. For my club team, I am captain due to my ability to stay level-headed under pressure. I am right-footed but am still strong with my left, as well as my head and body. 

I would love to have the opportunity to continue my soccer career at a collegiate level. i want to be able to go to school to better myself as a student, as well as an athlete. I pride myself on being active on the pitch and being there when my teammates need me as well as being dependable and committed as an athlete and as a person.
