Lucia Ianello '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lucia (Luci) Ianello. I attend Columbia River High School in Vancouver, Washington.  I have been a varsity athlete since my freshman year in soccer, track, and cross country. I have played club soccer for many years. As a midfielder on my soccer team I am constantly running, which I believe has helped me with my endurance and speed. I first realized I loved running when I was in the 6th grade. I was the only girl in my P.E. class grade that would race and beat the boys during the timed mile. The feeling of this type of competition was exciting. Since then, I have learned a lot about myself through running and racing, as well as developed some of my most valued friendships.
