I am Isabelle Melton and I play goalkeeper for Nitro High School in West Virginia. I think of soccer of more of a lifestyle than just a sport. It’s easy to get captured in the game and forget about everything else going on. I’m a hard worker, and I believe everything comes to those who work for it. I love meeting new people through soccer, and training with highly experienced coaches. As a sophomore I was selected as AAA 1st Team All MSAC, AAA 2nd Team All Region, and All Kanawha Valley Honorable Mention. As a Junior I was named First Team All-State, First Team Kanawha Valley and Goalkeeper of the Year. Recently, I was honored to receive the award for AAA Goalkeeper of the Year for the state of West Virginia. I currently hold the West Virginia state record for most saves in a high school career, and will exceed 1,000 by the end of my senior season. My goal this coming season is to continue to train and develop as a player at the next level.
