February 2021Personal Statement
My name is Isabella Matson, but I usually go by Isa. As a goalkeeper, I have always been a vocal leader, especially with my back line. I want my team to succeed as a whole, so I'm always trying to push everyone, and myself, to go the extra mile. I am respectful, very coachable, and a team player all the way.
I am just as committed in the classroom as I am on the field. School is a top priority for me, and I try my best to excel. In school I'm respectful, humble, attentive, and always willing to learn.
I've been playing soccer since I was 3 years old, and ever since then it has been a huge part of my life. I'm always looking for ways to improve my soccer career. I joined clubs and Wisconsin StateODP, and still want to go further. Playing in college is my next big goal.
