I am Allison Beeston, living in the small town of Laramie, Wyoming. A lot has gone into what makes me, me. My family has always been there for me and has helped to push me. I look up to my brother quite a bit when it comes to sports and getting the goals I want to achieve. Growing up, I wanted to play sports just like my brother so I could be just like him but with a different sport. I’ve been playing and loving soccer for 7 years. Playing soccer has taught me a lot, not just to be a successful athlete but to also strive to be a successful student. School is just as important to me as soccer and another thing to be great at. I want to continue to earn great grades through highschool and try to maintain a 4.000 as long as possible. Along with school, I would love to go to college and study just as hard as I do in highschool.
One of the harder times of my soccer career was an injury that had occurred during an early on spring season game. It was a pulled hamstring that took a recovery of about two months. I struggled to stay away from soccer by wanting to get back on the field with all my teammates. I had PT twice a week and would show up to soccer practice wanting to play but instead was on the sideline with my coach waiting to bounce back. As soon as I was able to get back on the field I worked on making my hamstring stronger. Not only did I miss playing with the team, I quickly learned that the sideline was not nearly as fun as being on the field.
