Jaya Smith '19 Recruiting Profile

I want to be successful as I go into college after my high school years. I have thought about playing soccer for the Northwest college in Powell Wyoming. I couldn't imagine being done with the game I love after High School. I want to continue working towards a goal. I have been playing soccer for many years. It all started at a Recreation level. I have played traveling soccer and we have traveled all over Wyoming to compete. As I joined High School I knew new opportunities and competition would be there. I have been a varsity starter since my first freshman game, and I still have 2 more years of High School. I take every opportunity to get better at soccer. I have experienced many soccer camps. I always take what I learned at camps into games and practices. I have trained with different college coaches and players. Training has made me stronger and better. I take every chance I can to play soccer. I am down to play soccer anytime and anywhere. I am working towards to be a captain this 2018 season for my team. I am a leader on and off the field. Players are always telling me they watch me because they like to learn from my skills if they are struggling. A soccer team to me is a family, and throughout season that is my family. We go through a lot of obstacles together to be successful. I have a huge heart and I am always willing to offer help. Soccer is my everything it is the only sport I play. Soccer is my focus, and this sport brings nothing but joy to my life. Soccer brings a lot of life skills and I have realized that. My effort in school is great I work hard and keep my grades up. I end up having a 3.0 or higher GPA by the end of the school year. Mainly my life goal is to succeed and go far in soccer. I have the talent, a good attitude, the work ethic, and the dedication. I strive to be better everyday. The love I have for this game is huge.
