My name is Sydney Meunier and I'm a sophmore at Corona Del Mar High School in Newport Beach, CA. I'm a great athlete, team player, strong competitor, and one of my favorite places on earth to be is in the pool. Since the age of three I've been the strongest swimmer in almost every pool. I love every opportunity to compete and feel the most confident when I'm on the block preparing for my next event. My goal is to be recruited to a college level team and pursue my dreams of strong competition while working towards my bachelor's degree.
I'm a hero! When I was two I saved my one year old brother's life. My younger brother, Riley, was born with a life threatening blood disease and the only hope for his survival was a bone marrow transplant. At the age of two, my family discovered that I was a perfect match for my brother. After 67 days in treatment and thanks to my bone marrow donation my brother left the children's hospital in Orange County with a new beginning on life.
In college I hope to study medicine and become a pediatrician. My passion for medicine began many years ago and combines my passion for helping others and working with children. I hope someday to give back to my community and give to others the same miracle that my family received. Giving a child a second chance at life is the greatest gift that you can ever give.
