Opal Vail '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Opal Vail. I am going into my junior year at Bradshaw Christian High School, in Sacramento, CA. I would consider myself a very outgoing and energetic person. I am very passionate when it comes to swimming. When I was five years old I would watch the swim team practice every day after my swim lessons. Soon after I found myself practicing with the team and I've loved it ever since. I enjoy swimming every stroke, although my absolute favorite is backstroke. Something that sets me apart from other recruits is my love for the team along with my love for the sport. Cheering on my teammates and watching them succeed is another joy I find in swim. My ultimate goal is to continue my competitive swim career in college while studying Psychology. I would be a great  candidate for your team because I get along very well with others, I don't quit when times get tough, and I enjoy pumping up my teammates. One of my big personal achievements are this year as a 15 year old in the 15-18 division, I placed 3rd overall at the Sacramento Valley Meet of Champions. Another accomplishment of mine was getting awarded with MVP on my high school team for both Freshman and Sophomore years. In 2019 I was also awarded 2nd placed high point overall at Comstock Championships. I want to thank you for taking the time to view my profile.  :)
